On 18.10.2024, Darkhan Kadyrbaevich Nurpeisov, the Banking Ombudsman, met with Artur Ermekovich Lastaev, the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The discussion focused on issues of protecting the rights of citizens and improving the handling of their appeals, covering not only financial but also other socially significant areas.

The parties exchanged experiences and outlined ways for future cooperation. It was emphasized that it is important to build cooperation that will allow us to promptly and effectively solve the problems of citizens in the form of complaints and appeals.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to prepare proposals for concluding a Memorandum of Cooperation, which will create the basis for a long-term and productive partnership.
This meeting was the first step towards strengthening partnerships and creating a more transparent system for protecting citizens’ rights. In the near future, the parties intend to actively implement the agreements, which will be an important step towards creating more transparent and effective mechanisms for protecting citizens’ rights.
