Due to the increase in requests regarding restrictions on the sale or withdrawal of cash dollars in exchange offices and second-tier banks, we inform you, that the National Bank has not adopted resolutions or other by-laws on restrictions on foreign currency transactions in the Republic of Kazakhstan. 

At the same time, we note that the difficulties, that have arisen with the issuance of foreign currency in cash, are caused, first of all, by increased demand from the population, as well as logistical difficulties with the delivery of foreign currency in cash to Kazakhstan from other countries against the backdrop of a tense geopolitical situation. 

Taking into account the current situation, the National Bank is actively considering the issue of supplying an additional amount of foreign currency in cash from the Federal Reserve System, the US central bank. We also inform you, that there are all necessary agreements with transport companies to ensure timely deliveries of dollar cash.
