On August 25, 2023, as a part of the celebration of the Constitution Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan and in honor of the 90^th anniversary of the Al-Farabi Kazakhstan National University, an international scientific and practical conference ‘The Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan – the legal basis for the development of new Kazakhstan’ was held, dedicated to the role of the Constitution in the development of the country and society.

The Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, adopted on August 30, 1995, has become the fundamental document, that determines the country’s path to democratic development, protection of the rights of citizens and ensuring the rule of law. Over the past decades, Kazakhstan has made significant progress in various fields, and its Constitution has played an important role in this process.

The banking ombudsman - is an independent institution, that protects the rights and interests of borrowers in the field of banking services. Its role is to handle complaints and conflicts between borrowers and banks, and to enforce laws and regulations in this area. The banking ombudsman plays an important role in maintaining stability and trust in the banking sector, and also contributes to the development of financial culture the population.

The participation of the banking ombudsman in the international scientific and practical conference emphasized his active attitude to the discussion of important law and legal aspects of the development of Kazakhstan. He made a presentation on ‘The role of legal protection of citizens in ensuring justice and observance of constitutional rights,’ emphasizing the importance of creating effective mechanisms for protecting the rights of citizens, including the banking sector.
