A seminar ‘History of the development of the banking and monetary system of Kazakhstan’ was held within the walls of the Eurasian Technological University on 10^th November 2023 year.

As a part of the seminar, Ruslan Ibragimov, an advisor of Banking ombudsman, made a report ‘History of the development of the banking and monetary system of Kazakhstan. The role of the Banking Ombudsman of the Republic of Kazakhstan in protecting the rights of consumers of financial services’.

The topic of the report turned out to be relevant. Listeners learned about the types of loans issued by financial institutions in Kazakhstan, the risks, that certain types of loans carry, the consequences of failure to fulfill contractual obligations and the institutions, that protect the rights of consumers of financial services.

One of such institutions is the Institute of the Banking Ombudsman. Listeners are told in detail about the role and powers of the Banking Ombudsman, how to submit an appeal to him, and the power of his decision.
