On an alternative basis   09/07/2021 the regular elections of the Banking Ombudsman took place.
      In accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Banks and Banking Activities in the Republic of Kazakhstan", the bank ombudsman is elected by the Council of Representatives for a period of 2 years by secret ballot.
     The Council includes representatives of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the Regulation and Development of the Financial Market (authorized body), second-tier banks with a mortgage portfolio, the mortgage organization "Kazakhstan Housing Company", the Republican Public Association "El Birligi".
     Each representative has only one vote.  In case of equality of votes, the vote of the Authorized Body is decisive.
     The elections were held on an alternative oseov.  Yerserik Siyrbayev was re-elected as the Banking Ombudsman by an overwhelming majority of votes.
