From May 11 to May 13, 2023, the XI Saint Petersburg International Legal Forum was held, which is the largest platform for dialogue between representatives of the legal, business, political and law enforcement communities on issues of law in the interest of citizens, business, improving law enforcement practice, promoting legislative initiatives in order to develop a legal culture and regulation of the socio-economic sphere in modern conditions.
Within the framework of the plenary sessions ‘International experience of out-of-court protection of the rights of consumers of financial services’, along with the representatives of Belarus and Russia, the Banking ombudsman Yerserik Siyrbaev also spoke.
In his speech, he focused on the similarities and differences in the legal framework of pre-trial settlement institutions in the member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union.
The problem of using the out-of-court dispute resolution procedure and the development of pre-trial settlement institutions were also discussed during the plenary session, as well as issues of interaction and further cooperation within the Advisory Committee of the Financial Ombudsman Services of the Eurasian Economic Union.
